My new KLR came from the factory with a defective preload adjuster so the local dealer called the warranty hotline for a replacement. They told him that he should replace the whole rear shock assembly instead. He told me the cost of the rear shock assembly was just under $800 !!! The adjuster was around $280. Man, I'm glad this thing is under warranty! Jim "My other car is a KLR!"
