battery leaking!

Make sure that the overflow tube that comes out from the battery is connected to the tube that runs the bad stuff down under the bike. When my bike was new it was not connected (probably a dealer setup issue) and it corroded the passenger footpeg and the mounting bracket. The dealer replaced these as warranty items.
