Has anyone seen a golf bag mount for a KLR 650? I am figuring it would be
tail mounted and could hold my bag. If I have to fab one this weekend, so
be it, but I would rather pick one up that is well made.
Thanks

Another lister mentioned a gentlemen out of Oregon who
makes very interesting racks for carrying bikes on
motorcycles. If you follow this link:
http://bikeaddict.com/products/motorcycle-bike-racks.html
Scroll to the bottom and there is a link to
"Cycle-By-Cycle Carriers", when you scroll to the
bottom of this new page, you'll see a KLR with a golf
bag attached. Looks pretty sweet.

I really wouldn't recommend jumping on the 7 gallon tank unless you have
a legitimate need for it (such as, your OEM tank has gotten so banged-up
or rusty as to be unusable, or you're going on an adventure tour where
there's over 250 miles between places where gasoline is available). It
does not fit as well as the OEM tank, and KLR-specific tank bags in
general won't work with it (and KLR-specific tank bags tend to be the
ones that fit best and most securely). And of course a magnetic tank bag
won't work at all

. And of course there is the locking gas cap issue.
As farkle goes, this gas tank would be far, far down on my list. BTW, my
tank will legitimately hold 7 gallons. I ran my bike down to reserve,
and when I put gas in a couple of miles down the road, I put 6.5 gallons
into it!
