1989 klx 650 head

Sorry for the lack of a formal intro guys .
So here goes , I have lurked around the KLR sites and forums for a
while just checking out owners reactions and thoughts.
I am looking at purchasing a basket case KLX 650 really cheap it is
missing a cylinder head (possibly cracked then binned), can anyone tell
me if the KLR head is a swap .
Thanx guys BTW I hail from Australia and what an informative forum you
have it seems with no ratbagging going on, ( must be something to do
with more mature ownership 
)
I intend to build a Motard from either the KLX or I have another offer
on a Tengai 650 thstd complete but a lot more money .
