Just finished pating my A16 plastic with Krylon Fusion Safety Orange. One thing I would like to know, is the tank stickers covered with a clear coat or something. I started to pick at a edge and it seems taht it is covered with a overcoat. If I can removed the tank stickers, will there be a big dull area under the stickers? Thanks in advance for any help.

I used a hair dryer to warm the sticker / glue. Peeled right off. Nice shiny finish underneath Rick A17 Kentucky Jim wrote:

I assume you are talking about the warning stickers. Yes, a hair dryer works great. But , I think the original poster was asking about the KLR graphics that are on the side of the tank. They are under the clear coat. Jimbo

Jim, Made my own plate (20" x 17") for $25, then added a 20" x 17" x 8" aluminum case for camera lenses I had lying around. If you want pics e-mail me. Ed --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "jimmydgeritol" wrote:

It is decals covered with a clear coat. You will need to sand it off. I wouldn't use Fusion on the tank. I understand gas will take it off. Criswell
