2005 klr neutral and clutch switches

Early on, I found that the clutch switch on my bike was flaky. I still haven't had a chance to look at it but now my neutral switch is beginning to show failure signs. The symptom for the clutch switch is that I can't start the bike when in gear with the kickstand up. It worked a couple of times but pretty much doesn't work now. The neutral problem occurred twice. I'd put it into neutral (confirmed by pushing the bike around without holding in the clutch), but the light on the dash wouldn't light-up. Of course, the bike wouldn't start either. The bike is still under warranty so I can take it in but I'd prefer to understand the problem before having them do anything. Has anyone else had these problems and was the fix straightforward? Thanks, Tosh
