Good and bad news... first the bad---- i was going to buy my 2003 KLR 650 within the next week and i talked to my dealer today and he said some one bought it yesterday. well thats a downer, but he said he will have a 2004 klr in in a few weeks and i was just wondering if you have heard anything about the 2004 KLRs. i know the 2003 had some minor problems with jetting and such but i wanted to make sure that no durastic changes were going to be made to the bike because i know it hasn't been changed much since 1987... anything you want to say would be appreciated... thanks MATT

Did you see the color? Most guys on this group don't like it, but I think it is okay. The thing I hate about my 2002 is that everyone who sees it says, "it's looks like a military bike, are you in the military?". It get's old after a while. I wish they stayed with the dark blue... Ron NJ

I tell everyone who askes about my bike that it's the same that the military uses. I wish it was an exact copy, diesel and all. The 2004 are a burgundy color. not that bad. but 2 years in the sun will make it PINK. you can be assured that the KLR has only changed in color. nothing else Durt, If you are like us, you will be happy with the KLR. I have almost 34,000 miles on my 2001 --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Ron Klimoff" wrote:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4558911165&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT The engine is trashed but the bike is tricked out for touring and has several hundred dollars of new parts.
