Can someone tell me if the starter side case is interchangable on some KLR models? I have a 1995 650 and a 1985 600 that I want to swap the side cases and the kickstarter on. Also the 1995 650 is in need of some cosmetic surgery since the previous owner failed to keep the shinny side up. It is a red one and in bad need of a matched organ doner.

FWIW i do know for certain the left magneto cover from a 95 will fit a 98 I speculate that the klr600 85 will fit the klr6501995 right side. if not, at least we know the kickstart lever and related components will fit into the 95 motor. Sure somebody on the list who has fitted the kickstarter will know.

I went to upload some photos, and it came back with "Error GROUP_CHECK". Now it won't evern let me look at the photos. What happened?
