Received my Tusk hanguards yesterday. Took less than 15 minutes to put each guard on. Very easy installation. It's bestto mount everything loose first, set position, then tighten everything up. Wiring on left bar was in the way but a quick cut of the cable-tie holding the wires to the bar got them out of the way. Must move front break assembly in about 1/2 inch too to clear the lever from the guard. Would reccomend using a hack-saw blade to cut the throttle grip plastic instead of a carpet knife. Would leave a cleaner cut and preclude a trip to the ER for stiches to the hand. Didn't buy the plastic for them yet. Maybe next month when I get more play $$. Shouldn't need the plastic as much once the weather warms up a bit here in Kansas. These bars are stout and should protect the levers very well. I used the stock plastic guards and they look real good on my tusk guards. It does & I am about to install some... But it looks like they don't come with screws for those holes so I am taking them down to the hardware store to find some... John

The Tusk handguards have two threaded holes for attaching wind deflectors. I made my own wind deflectors out of black plastic 5 gal. oil pails (Rotella T). There's a federal law here in the United States that has been mentioned previously. If Kawasaki wants to deny a claim due to the doohickey swap, Kawasaki has to prove that the doohickey swap caused the problem. Otherwise it doesn't affect the warranty at all -- federal law says you can do any and all work or modification to your bike that you want and the only way it affects the warranty is if the modification itself caused the failure (i.e., Kawasaki is only responsible for what *they* did to the bike, not for what *you* did to the bike!). -E
