www.ronayers.com sells the replacement cush drive for the KLR for ~$14. Being a tightwad and needing it faster, I've dusted sporcket carrier with talc and squeezed in enough GOOP into the hub (still leaving the original cush drive in there) so a little was extruded from the sides when I pressed the sprocket carrier back into the hub. I let it cure for at least 12 hours. Did the trick just fine. Mark

I installed a 16t countershaft sprocket and I think it may have lowered RPM's by perhaps 250/300 on the highway. I will go back to the 15th and reduce the main sprocket by one tooth (I did this yrs ago on a triumph TR5T successfully), perhaps this combo will work better at top end... JC 16 tooth countershaft sprocket i do mostly street riding/cartroading,no real rough trails,i find myself looking for a sixth gear on the highway, anyone using this sprocket have any comments? how does it affect the lower gears on the trail? what are rpm's at 60-65 mph? thanx.. __________________________________ Discover Yahoo!
