help, klr spitting gas out of back of petcock

New to klr. My klr is spitting gas out of the back of petcock. I took it off and looks like a slot where gas could be comming from. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks James

I just replaced the "diaphragm" in the back of my petcock - that took care of the leaking, I also replaced the 2 O-rings and the rubber piece that sits in behind the lever on the front side. Total cost - less than $20, through my local Kawi shop. Scott --- spradlinlj wrote:

Diaphram is bad inside, about $12~$14 might be available from your local dealer, heck even "the" dealer in this one hamster town had one in stock. Dooden A15 Green Ape

Thanks for all the help. got a piece of gasket material and made gasket to fit between front and back of petcock. put back together and it is working so far. I will now have to shut off gas if it sets over night, but will be rid of vaccum. James
