seat cover ?

hello all,
i have been reading all i can find out about diffrent seat covers. the
stock one just doesn't seem to get it for longer rides(over 3 hours)my
wife has a corbin that i have tried and don't really like it much.
seems like riding on a board. i was thinking about the travelcade gel
seat. it has a better price and seems to make sense but i haven't read
many reviews about how it does for long days. seems like it is
initially comfortable one guy said. i was also thinking about just
trying the alaska leather sheepskin cover on the stock seat. wondering
if anybody has tried that. any feedback would be appreciated on the
shhepskin or the gel seat.

Haven't heard much positive about the gel seat; one or two satisfied at most. A much
better bet, IMO, is the wooden bead seat, beloved of Somali taxi drivers everywhere. Cheap
and effective, it cures the main failing of the stock seat by firming it up, and it allows air to
circulate under your ass. Add a sheepskin over the beads for genuine luxurious comfort.
The Corbin may be haed to appreciate until you try some 500-mile days on it.

If those are truly the original tires, personally, I wouldn't ride a
single mile on them. They're almost 20 years old. Remaining tread is
not the issue. Safety first.
