I am new to KLR's. Call me vain if you want, but doggone it, my new KLR, with the stock muffler, is really a poor excuse for sounding like a real motorcycle. I don't want excess noise and I don't want to mess around with re- jetting and airbox mods. Been there, done that, and it is not worth it. But I would like to at least here the sound of a motor, not engine noise,rattles and the weezie VW bus sound that the stock exhaust sounds like! Can I fit a Supertrapp or the like without changing jetting etc? My friends KLR has a Supertrapp and is not excessive noise. Or, can he stock one be modified in anyway ( and still keep it spark arrestor legal? The main question is, will it run ok without any mods if I bolt on a Supertrapp? Thanks for the input.. JR
