I've got a chance to trade for a new pair of Anakees. Any feedback on these tires for the KLR? My riding is 75/25 on/off road. I seem to do OK with the stock Dunlops (I've got an '05 KLR), but they're already showing wear. Thought I'd put the Anakees on for the Spring. Thanks, Mike

Anakees are quite popular on big Beemers, though chiefly as a road tire. On-road the Anakees are admired for their stickiness and wet-weather performance. They last 6k+ miles on a big GS, so I'd add 50% to that to estimate their longevity on a KLR. On a KLR I'd think they aren't aggressive enough for 25% off, unless your off-roading is on dry and fairly solid ground. KLRs are light enough that they do pretty well on the street with knobby tires, so I think that almost any KLR that does off-road more serious than gravel roads can afford to wear more aggressive rubber. -Lujo [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
