Many moons ago, like pre-WWW, buddy always called me Dude when the we started on the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) I would log on as Dude, well.. when that got more and more users, "Dude" was always taken so I added an "N" to the end, "Duden" happen to already been taken ay yahoo.com so I improvised and made it Doo instead of Du. Have since heard that "Duden" is like Websters (dictionary) in Germany. Means nothing to me, just a handle. Dooden (Duden) A15 Green Ape ( Green and has a Ape zip-tied to the handlebars ) Will post of pic in photos that shows the Ape> > How about this thread. What do your user names mean?
It's the first thing listed on my site, in my FAQ of course. http://www.kingsqueak.org/ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]> --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "Howard Morris" wrote: > >>How about this thread. What do your user names mean?

My Yahoo ID is Elevengai because some shithead already took Tengai. Mark>How about this thread. What do your user names mean? >
Funny thread! It's interesting to note how many of us are using one nickname, with a varient of some sort because someone else already had the original name. Like mine: My nickname was "Moose" since I was about 12. I was always bigger than everyone else. And I had hair under my arms at about 11 years old, on my legs at about 12 or 13, and a mustache at 14. I got into bars easily at 15 years old and never got carded even though the drinking age was 21. One of the cool young adults at church started calling me Moose at about 13 and it just stuck ever since. I have been called it for so long, and by so many people, that I will immediately answer to both names. Since of course "Moose" was taken when I signed up on different sites online, I made it MrMoose. Simple enough, till I signed up with yahoo, and THAT was taken too. dammit So I wanted something that was REALLY different, and I remembered a Moose Head beer sticker that I have in the garage that says "The Moose is Loose". I like riding my KLR a lot, and felt like when I was riding, and away from the family chores, I was "loose", (plus I ride pretty loose too) so now it's "mrmooseisloose". Simple right? So common... I don't use a nick on email any more since I have my own mail server and get to be just "erik" there, but my yahoo user is "flaterike" Same story with the "e" at the end: I use flaterik all over the internet, but sometimes it's taken. So I tack an E onto the end since one of my drunk friends decided that an ending e would be silent back when I got the associated AIM login and the original was taken. As to "flat erik"'s origins, one of my other hobbies/obsessions is electronic music and sound systems. "flat eric" is a puppet thing associated with one of my favorite electronic music producers, and one day I decided to start signing emails to a music list "flat erik". It stuck, so I keep using it. erik>> How about this thread. What do your user names mean? > > Funny thread!
