I've been wanting a helmet cam for ages now, but didn't want to pay the $160 to $200 to get one. Last week Kim, was at Fry's Electronics and saw a bulletcam which stated it could be used for "security or helmet use". "Ding, a little light goes on in my head" The Bulletcam set provides: 380 lines resolution Color Image Sensor Built in Microphone Mounting kit (wrong type for helmet) but can be changed Battery connector Cables Price $69 ... with a $20 rebate. I have tried the cam out and the picture looks pretty good. I'll be trying the system out in the near future attached to my helmet when I get the correct mounting plate. http://www.swannspain.com/products/bulletcam.htm Can't moan at $49 for a helmet cam ...... Great idea, and I was just at Fry's to pickup a new flat screen. I just always assumed that helmet cams where well into the mid $100s and so I was waiting for a lower cost solution as time went by.. Guess I'm going back across town in a few days to get one. 380 lines of res in color is aok for helmet camming I figure. Anyone have video to sample? Oh, and a pic or two of mounting solutions? tank bag: is the cheap one ok???

I've seen one of the Kawi KLR knock-off tank bags fail at the plastic clips that hook on the tank. I've got the Kawi KLR bag - I think I paid $59 or $69 for it - it's still going strong. One complaint - besides size - when it's fully loaded, it tends to sag back into your lap. Take a bungie cord and loop it around the back end of the bag and attach each end to the front of the tank - pulling it back into an upright position.
