Howabouta Kenda K-270, cheap, 50/50 tread, grips quite well off road, mud, sand, grass, dirt, handles with predictability on pavement, I have managed maybe 1500 ~ 2000 miles on a set sofar and show little wear, the rear knobs are rounded a little bit, and I tend to be hard on the rear tires aka: heavy wristed. Only managed to get it stuck once, but that is not the tires fault, lost the rear end in a wash out or something going through a water hole, and down it went and wedged into something. Could not even tilt the bike side to side, it required sheer brute force to get it out. Basically used a 1" nylon rope tied to the frame and a 4 wheeler in low range 4x4 mode and lots of jerk and pulls then the rear end came out of whatever it was. Picture this, the front tire almost completely out of the water, the rear tire almost completely under water. Even going around smaller water holes on the trial envolved tooling across swamp land and swamp muck, in which the K-270 was worth its weight in gold to paddle through that stuff.
