search difficulties

Is there any to search all the messages to the beginning with one
search? I have to search one group of messages at a time, there must
be a better way.
Thanks, Scott

Scott - No, unfortunately there is no way around it. I've started archiving the list using my own email reader (gmail) so that I can search more easily. At the rate I am going, I should be able to archive about 16 years worth of DSN_KLR650 goodness. Maybe someone has archives of the weekly journal version (or whatever it's called). I asked before, but no one responded... Dirk>Is there any to search all the messages to the beginning with one >search? I have to search one group of messages at a time, there must >be a better way.
If you use Windoze there is a shareware program called pgoffline It costs $19.95 from http://www.personalgroupware.com It is a yahoo offline message reader, it stores internally as an Access database. We have already uploaded early messages 1 - 100,000. These can be downloaded and inserted into your database. I will do the next 25,000 when we reach message 125000 so not far to go. I am just a satisfied user of the software, no links etc... Gavin A18 Broadford, Victoria, Australia> > Is there any to search all the messages to the beginning with one > search? A few of us have the full set of posts. 2000 = 17,407 2001 = 28,914 2002 = 26,507 2003 = 25,784 2004 = 23,061 (so far) My set is mostly pulled from the web site, but then it is kept fresh via the mailed out list option. The main difference with the mailed out ones is that they don't have the post number in the header. I would be willing to let a few folk pull my copy with special arrangement. I am on a dsl line so am not willing to just hang it out there for everybody to bleed my line dry. File size is as such: 10413053 DSNKLR-2000.gz 15385624 DSNKLR-2001.gz 13976506 DSNKLR-2002.gz 14069847 DSNKLR-2003.gz -- Doug Herr doug@...> We have already uploaded early messages 1 - 100,000. Wow, that's great! Unfortunately it looks like there is a 500 message per day yahoo limit. I would be willing to host a couple of archive files if anyone is willing to give them to me. Dirk A18> If you use Windoze there is a shareware program called pgoffline
The registered version allows a "workaround" to get considerably more messages. Ping me off list if you require further info. I'm making some of Doug's archives available on my web site. If the load ends up being too great, I'll take them down and instead provide links to people who email me. Until then: http://tinyurl.com/5zf3h right click on the file names to save them (at least in windows). cheers Dirk A18> Doug Herr > doug@...
