Hi Tim I have the Alpha Bag and for me the jury is still out. I am 6'7" and 250lbs and I do feel that the the bag encroaches on the rear seat room a bit. But for the 3 day trip I took this weekend (all street) it was very convenient. My feeling is that for street oriented riding (given our size) it is a great product, but for dirt riding, where there will be lots of standing on the pegs, and moving over the seat, I think I may want to try Chase Harper Bags that will leave more of the rear seat clear. Off the subject, but, I'm about the same size as you guys. Have you found any decent boots that come in 12 EEE? I do not have the European feet required to fit into the ones I have seen advertised. I always run a bungee cord through the handles of my Alfa bag to somewhere on the back of the bike to keep it from flopping into my back. Then I usually throw on a bungee net to further stabilize things and give me a spot for stuffing my hat and a water bottle. But if saddlebags are in order, the Chase Harper ET4000s hold a lot and stand up well to abuse.
