Looking to buy a new or used KLR in the San Francisco Bay Area. Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated. This will be my first bike, so if anyone would like to given even some rookie advice, thanks.

For a GREAT starter bike, you can look on Craigslist. A couple of days ago, there was an 87 KLR (first year 650 made) in the bay area with only 9000 miles, new tires, new brakes, new battery, for $1900!! If I would have had the money, you KNOW that sucker would have been gone. Check to see if some other lucky guy got it. MrMoose A8 (Barbie and Ken special)

1. Take the MSF safety course *NOW*, and go ahead and get your motorcycle license, so that when you get the bike you can ride it immediately. 2. Check Craigslist.org which generally has four or five KLR's for sale. -E

Yes, my awesome vintage fabulous 89 KLR with skid plate, Rally Pros, IMS pegs, explorer bag, and progressive fork springs is still for sale. Cheap at $1800 firm. (707) 548-9296. I may need the money for a 356C I am so lucky to have located without even trying. I'm serious.

hi all, my question: what are the pro's and con's of installing a stage 1 dynojet kit? how will it affect: engine wear? fuel economy? engine tempreture ( malaysian weather is 25 in the mornings , 37 in the hottest afternoons)? i currently have a stock a2 with a cobra muffler installed. planning to install the jet kit , chnage to a k&n air filter and put a 42 tooth spocket at the rear. please advice. riding style is mixed. clock about 1200km in a week. weekdays its 100+km to and from work, friday evening and sunday night is 700km. thanks clint

What's a 356C? That's like the price for a fine wine, if you have to ask, you don't need to know.
