Hi All, I've just joined your group. I owned an '87 KLR over a decade ago and absolutely loved it. I have had many bikes and the KLR remains my favorite. New Zealand is perfect KLR country. Stunning scenery best accessed on minor roads with very little traffic. (but we do drive on the left) If you ever get the chance to visit this way, I'd be glad to hear from you. I will be getting another KLR next year and reigniting that passion, Cheers all, Derek.

I was down there in 1990 but not on the bike (I had enough trouble driving a car correctly on the other side of the road when negotiating roundabouts). Beautiful country with some of the friendliest people I have ever met. The cap of the trip was taking a helicopter from the Fox Glacier up and around Mt. Cook and past the Tasman glacier and back down Franz Josef Glacier. Criswell whiritoakiwi wrote:

Anybody up for a Baja trip in October? Maybe San Felipe and down to Conception Bay. Anybody? I'm in San Diego. Erik __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Mail - Send 10MB messages! http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail
