Folks, The lastest copy of Dual Sport News highlighted some combo titanium wrenches/tire irons, some of which are availble for the KLR650. That issue is at home; I'm at work. Would someone please forward the contact information for the manuf. to me (addy, website)? TIA Guy A16 Richmond, VA

I saw that article too, and they looked spiffy, the axle nut wrench was a neat idea. Anyone here actually used them? Here's the link for those that haven't seen them: http://www.sopgear.com/new_page_4.htm>

misc stuff for sale (klr)

Well, it's time to unload some of the leftover parts from the 'makeover' job that Mr. Moose did to my bike. If you're interested, please respond by email and make sure that the KLR stays somewhere in the subject line, so the mail doesn't get steered into the trash by my junk mail filter. Prices INCLUDE shipping (to the lower 48), and I've tried to price stuff fairly, but if I'm out of line or you want to bid lower, feel free. If no one else wants it for the price listed, you might just get it. And the last few things are open to bidding, cause I have no idea what they're worth. Highest bid on those wins. I'll stop taking bids one week from today, so you have until next Wednesday night to bid (unless you want to buy it for the price listed). Here's we go (again prices INCLUDE shipping to the lower 48 in the US. Alaska, Hawaii and Canada I might have to charge extra, depending on how much more it will cost): Eagle doohickey wrench and puller bolt (Brand new, never used) - $45 Kawi Tail Bag (used once) - $75 Kawi Tank Bag (used a few times, but basically in new shape) - $40 Kawi Saddlebags (brand new, never used) - $120 (I'll sell all three pieces for $220 together) Maier Delux Woods Pro Alum handguards with XC add-on plastic guards - $65 These are slightly used, some scratches from mounting and dismounting them. Included are the adaptor inserts to fit renthal bars. If you want to mount them on Renthal bars, you'll have to bend them. I decided instead to go with some Acerbis plastic ones that were easier to mount. They'll mount to stock bars as is. Lowering Links (2" I believe, not sure the brand, sort of powder coat finish) - $50 Brand new. Sort of a spackle black and silver finish. Duchin Dash (aluminum plate dashboard thingy). Brand new - $40 Dowco Guardian cover, size Large, used once - $75 I found this overkill for my needs, since my bike lives in a car port, I really just needed a dust cover). The size will fit the bike with luggage I believe. Dual-Star subframe upgrade drill bits (just the bits and guide) - $20 Brand new, never used, Moose had them already and we used his. Does NOT include the bolts and such, you can get them from DS Now the extra stuff, make me an offer, and highest bidder wins: Acerbis Disc and fork Guard for the KLR. I have no use for it to be honest, I don't plan on much off-roading, so better to let someone have it that can use it. THIS HAS BEEN PAINTED BLACK by P.O. And it's peeling a bit already, so you might be able to strip it back to white. No instructions or anything, you'll have to figure out how it mounts (I have no idea, Moose took it off my bike for me). I know these seem to be in demand. Stock front springs (taken off the bike when new, oiled up by P.O. and sitting there ever since) Stock rear spring (not the shock, just the spring) Stock handlebars (clutch side still has some of stupid grip attached. A few scratches, but in very good shape. Black. Stock green handguards (year 2000). No hardware, slightly scratched. Even if you don't want to bid any money, if no one else want to buy them, someone can have them for the cost of shipping. Feel free to email me with any questions. Tim Nielsen tim@...
