Something else you might want to give a try.
I made a strap on visor for my mx helmet with a peace of $6 1/8th
lexan, ten bucks got me enough to make two, and a ski goggle strap
of your choice, I found a oakley ski goggle strap w/rubber on the
side that touches the helmet, helps it to stay in place, for about
20 bucks.
I've use'd this thing up to 140klms out on the highway w/ a use
totalling 7500klms and in high winds and have had no problems.
I find that my strap on visor helps to reduce wind noise on the
highway.
Works great in the rain and from keeping a dime sized rock, one
bird, countless amounts of wasps and grass hoppers from forsing
their way up into my nose.
I'll post the pict's in the photo's section under "strap on visor"
Chow for now

Ok for any one that's intrested I've got pict of my strap on visor
posted in the photo section under strap on visor, now that I've
finnally figured out why the digital camera wasn't working. I put
the damned batterys in up side down, still to early in the morning.
Injoy!

Russell,
Looks like a pretty good idea. How did you get it formed to fit the
shape of the helmet? Did you have to heat it up and let it cool?
How did you manage to do this? Any tips or tricks? It seems like
getting the shape to fit well would be difficult.
How did you cut the proper shape? Did you make a template with a
piece of cardboard or something similar? Was the lexan difficult to
cut in the rounded (not straight) edges?
How do the ski goggle straps attach to the visor? I'm not a skier,
so I'm not familiar with the options they use.
Thanks,
Rick

Like Mother Nature was out to do some serious landscaping. Mother Nature
provides the occasional thunder bumper to carve new sand washes so dirt bikers can
have more fun. So this is just Mother Nature's way of saying she loves dirt
bikers no matter what some folks might say.
