I think there still are some Belstaff closeouts on ebay. I'm extremely pleased with my Discovery Jacket. I paid $159 shipped for it. Mark

Cycloak Evo + upgraded armor. If they made them in tall sizes I would've found my perfect jacket. -Lujo Tengai Mark Van Horn wrote:

I have First Gear's Kilimanjaro jacket and pants and have been very happy with them. Just last week I had to ride for 4 hours in pouring rain, 450 kms. and it kept me dry and warm. This spring it also made a trip in March possible, from BC, Canada, to Moab, UT, some of this in rain and occasional sleet. In the summer when the temperature rises, you can unzip the liner and keep relatively cool although I do have a Joe Rockett mesh jacket I will don when the temperature reaches into the thirties, high eighties and nineties for you Americans. Hope that description is politically correct! Gorm L, Canada. Mike Benson wrote: Time to add a decent textile jacket to the collection. Any suggestions on a dependable jacket besides Aerostitch? I bought one of those Joe Rocket Revolution jackets for $100. I haven't put it to the pouring rain and snow test yet, and don't really care to. All I know is that I LOOK very cool in it, and I think that's whats important. Erik San Diego --- Gorm Larsen wrote:

I, too, bought one of the JR Revolution jackets. One of the other listers a while back mentioned the package deal at newenough.com where you get the jacket and JR Ballistic 4.0 pants for $234.00. http://www.newenough.com/package_deal_revolution_ballistic_page.htm> I have been wearing both products daily, and have been very comfortable, in the chilly 45deg mornings, especially. The jacket is a little heavy when the temp gets much above 70deg, or so, and unless I'm wearing shorts, I don't wear the pants above that temp either. They are very warm, wind- proof and so far, waterproof. I don my raingear when it's really coming down, but both pieces kept my body dry during several drizzly days here in Denver. I am anxious to try them in freezing temps. I aspire to be like my heroes here on this list that ride year 'round. We'll see how long I can take it. Come spring, I'll be looking for more "summer-oriented" gear, but the JR stuff I have seems to work great for fall riding. The < $250.00 shipped price was right, as well. HTH, Gary in Denver

Been wering a Joe Rocket for a year-good in winter and summer. Good venting and rain protection, confortable and really looks boss (I got the all black). Reasonable price too. Quality seems pretty good.
