Buddy, I resemble that remark and could be your newest source for used parts.... I assume you have a FJ60 wagon, by it being a 85. I have fj40, 55, and 60 parts. If you can't find something specific locally, I may be able to hook you up! anyone else own both? Very NKLR NKLR NKLR Mi Amigos, I drive an '85 Landcruiser. I bought it because a good deal of my work is in remote areas, with no roads and it snows up here...............I think it used to, anyway. It goes well with my UAV (urban assault vehicle), the mighty KLR. Oh yeah, I wear Redwings to work, too. Besides, what other SUV can mount a 50 cal mg or a 105 mm recoilless rifle on the roof with no additional bracing. 10,000 middle eastern militia men can't be too wrong. Buddy I haven't run over anyone yet, would you like to be the first??? ;>).

What is it about KLR's and Land Cruisers? I purchased my first 1971 FJ40 in 78 before it was an SUV. It now has 300,000+ miles and is still my daily driver. Currently my father, two sons, my sister and my wife all drive Land Cruisers. Cruise On!!!! somebody here in the past had suggested hanging one knee out as a trimming sail. does work for me. I've rode a klr250 in ElPaso, and a 650 in wichita Ks. and now a 650 in florida. winds can get high esp w/ trucks. Really aint that bad. I just set my rear preload back to #2 and the bike got more stable. I weigh 150#. plus a rear JC whitney case loaded w/ 20lbs.
