I'm repeating myself also - all of the major automotive paint manufacturers
make plastic primers and adhesion promoters that support successful painting
of polypropylene, and some have tech details/instructions on their websites
(PPG does). With the right primer, you can use either rattle can paint or
automotive mix-n-spray paint. I painted my A16 black with automotive
basecoat and clearcoat over plastic primer, it's holding up fine. It's on
the picture page.
As far as black plastics, not much available - but I run a black Acerbis
front fender sized for a late-model Honda CR125 (with redrilled mounting
holes).

I'll say it again.
My 95 is painted black.
I used bulldog adhesion promotor and flat black enamel.
several coats of each with a light sanding in between.
Has held up to the florida jungles very very very well.
After two years I can still fold the fender w/o cracking.
I store the bike outside w/ a cover so the very edge of the front
fender shows it's true colors.
I ride every day.
The hand guards show the worst wear.
Not enough to bother me.
I just didn't want to be in the boondocks and get caught by some
rednecks on huntings lands where I might have missed a verboten sign.
look in the picture section. I'll try to find a picture and post.
