a new member with a old question?

Post by linoleumcarving » Sun Jul 25, 2004 3:46 pm

I really want to decide on the klr650 but can it or NEED it.... be made a better OFF road bike.{?} The Honda xr650 looks to be a bad boy off road but i use to ride a 86' XL600r on/off and the seat was hell and the gas tank cap. was a joke. I here the klr seat is much better but can the KLR deal with the rough stuff that my XL did with ease.{?} Thanks for any advice... Bill Camden, S.C.

cleaning k&n filter?

Ok so I bought this bike and it's got a k&n filter on it. All the bike stores are closed now. How do I clean this filter and prep it for re-use without the k&n recharge kit? Any help would be much appreciated... Fletch

Not as well, but pretty good w/ upgraded suspension bits. Stock it is to softly suspended for HD off-road work.
