goin' to texas, via california

Post by scottybm2 » Wed Jul 14, 2004 12:52 am

Well, I'm outta here, leaving Coos Bay, Oregon on Friday to head down Hwy 101 to catch up with my wife in Milpitas CA. After that we're loading the KLR in my truck and driving through to Galveston, TX with the bike on a rack on the rear of my Expedition. I'll be stopping overnight in Petaluma on Friday so if you see me, honk and wave, I'll wave right back. I hope to head out around 10:00 or so Friday, so I guess you can figure out the mileage from there. I almost want to ride the whole way, but that's a trip and a half, plus I have a family in a truck to think about. We're going to stop at the Grand Canyon on the way, so I might be doing some evening riding around there if I can escape for a while. If anyone wants to say hello or meet for part of the ride, contact me off list, I won't have access to the list until after I get to Milpitas, my wife is taking the laptop with her. I can check my e-mail at work though, and will reply when I can. Good luck to all, I'll be back online in a week or so. Scotty

I don't know how KHI dropped the ball with the factory manuals for the KLR... I've got the manuals for the KLX and the ZRX, and both are far better. Much better explanations, theories of operation, etc. Krokko -- Dr. J. Christopher Krok John Lucas Adaptive Wind Tunnel Caltech MS 205-45, Pasadena, CA 91125
