Just be sure to thoroughly clean the crack with a high-flash point solvent to get the oil out of it. Gas works great. And definitely wear rubber gloves, the epoxy will irritate your skin. Just be sure to knead it well, it should be pretty warm and pliable, and just start with a little chunk and smear it into the crack. The stuff sets up within a couple of minutes so only cut off a bit at a time.

The design is crap. I've broken at least one peg off each my bikes every time I've taken them offroad. A hint for you, the online parts diagrams tell you what size the bolts are, the footpeg: 130 130T0820 BOLT-FLANGED,8X20 The last numbers of the part number(if it doesn't say it in the description field) are the size and length of the bolt. So you could get an 8mm by 20mm bolt, but I'd recommend getting 8x25mm in the softest grade possible (nothing above a grade 8.9). You'll need to bring a bolt to the store with you so that you can get the right thread pitch (perhaps a 1.25, I can't remember). That way the bolts will bend in the impact and hopefully won't strip out the footpeg recievers. Use red locktite on them and a lock washer (another reason to use longer bolts), even better, safety wire them. In the event that new bolts don't work, get a 10mm x1.25 tap, a suitable drill bit, and some new 10x25x1.25 bolts. Get a couple extra bolts while you're at the store and toss them in the toolkit. It might be a 1.5 pitch tap, I can't remember, whatever is available at your store. Z DC A5X A12X
