mid-atlantic wrenchfest v2.0, post 2

Who: Anyone East of the Mississippi: (Yes, that
includes Canada as well:-))
When: August 14th, Saturday. O' Dark thirty until ?
Where: The Millerized Ranch, Inwood WV (directions
will posted at a later date if you didn't copy them
from that OTHER e-mail:-)
What: Any KLR, 600 or bigger, any year, any
cleanliness, but just bring it!
I'll have enough garage space for up to 4 at a time,
with covered outside space for several others should
the weather not cooperate. Air tools, lots of wrenches
and the like for wrenchin' on things. I've even got a
16lb sledge in case things get hairy.
Why: Do you really need a reason? OK how about: Cause
you can? Cause you need some work done? You just want
to hang out and BS with like minds? Cause it's August
and you need to get out of the house? Maybe you want
to celebrate the last day of Sturgis and can't make it
out to SD? There's even some "light" dirt riding and a
little hill climb should you want to break something
you want to fix. That didn't work? How about coffee
and donuts in the AM? Thought so!
If you're going to do valves, bring it the night
before, truck it or trailer it (I can't believe I just
suggested that). If you want to ride it, we can soak
it under water to cool it off. I've got a place in the
yard you can set up a tent if you'd like. If you're
going to do clutch, tranny, or engine cracking stuff,
bring what you need as far as gaskets. I've got a
gasket making kit if you really screw it up. If you
want to do tires, you can have them sent to the house
(I'll only lightly test them) or truck them up when
you come. I'll provide the tools and the place and as
much technical assistance as I can, you provide the
bike and materials. Hell, if you want to wash the
bike, I'll even show you the door
Sometime around noon/1pm, I'll fire up some animal
carcass on the grill: my unpatented monster bacon
burgers or dogs and all the fixins, along with some of
that slaw and salad type stuff. Sodas will be
provided, but beer is of your own bringin'. For you
vegetarians, there's a whole front yard you can eat
out of.
Interested? I'm not making reservations, not charging
anything as it's a come if you can event. Let me know
if you're considering it, but I won't hold you to it.
If you can make it, super. If you can't, well, we'll
only tell the list you woosied out of wrenchin your
ride.
So, mark you calendars for August 14, 2004 for the
