Does anyone out there in KLR land know of Professor Jim from the DSN list and have they had any dealings with him as far as picking his brain of vast KLR Knowledge to answer your bike repair Questions? Also have any of you had him do repairs on your bike? Any and all Input would be appreciated thanks. Mark Milton, WA. A-18 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I've met Prof. Jim Hyman a couple of times. He's a good guy. Not too long ago, on a trip to Seattle, he accompanied me on the return trip during the Mt. St. Helens portion. On the way to Canada/Alaska in '01, he helped me replace my waterpump mechanical seal. He's helped other listers in the same manner. Jim knows the klr well. His home is like a mechanics warehouse. If one searched the archives, they would find a massive amount of info contributed by Jim. I miss his presence on the list too. I may see him in Seattle next week. Here is a link to some of his wiring diagrams: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_klr650/files/Wiring%20and%20Instruments/Wiring%20Diagrams/ (sorry about the url wrap, I don't remember how to fix that, which is bad because I know some have tryed to educate us on this). I saved many of his postings for future reference. His contributions were much appreciated, I know he walked many people through electrical troubleshooting.Would like to see him back ....cosmo

Any fellow midwest KLR riders making the trip west to Big Dog 2004? I'm looking for riding partners to make the trek on or about Aug. 11th. Please contact me off list. Cheers! Steve St. Louis [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
