strainer screen

I bought a 1998 KLR650 over the winter with 2700 miles. Now at 3100,
I adjusted the valves, intake 0.003/0.004", exhaust .006/0.008".While
changing the coolant, I went on to clean the strainer screen and
found a 3/4" long spiral alluminum shaving trapped and very little
silicone particles. I will do the doohicky soon. Just a FYI..
