big gun, k&n, dynojet and progessive

Well I finally bit the bullet and added the Big Gun race series
header and pipe along with a dynojet kit, a K&N air filter and
progressive for springs. All installed with tax and labour $1350
Cdn.
Is it
loud...yes, really loud...no. Not as loud as a harley or a 250 2
stroke race bike. Is there more power...yes, a lot more no. Overall
I found the performance of the bike has increased. I really noticed
it ripping through the bush. The extra power allows you to crack
the throttle and wheelie over the puddles and ditches much like a 2
stroke race bike. The front end no longer has that mushy feeling
and KLR dive. Instead the front end drops down and pops back up
immediately. Overall a much stiffer and responsive ride. The
progressive springs might also add to the ability to wheelie over
the rough stuff. Am I glad that I spent the dough...yes, does that
bike attract more attention crusing down the Highway and city
streets yes, scare the hell out of the wild life and piss off the
campers...I guess so. Do I hope that it will keep some gray hair
from running me over....maybe.
I contiue to enjoy biking my KLR and this help and informative
newsgroup.
