a better muffler

Post by Walter & Connie Busch » Fri May 07, 2004 6:28 pm

I have just picked up a 01 klr 650. I would like to get a better note from the exhaust and wanted some feed back. Any and all opinions welcome.

fuel filter install

Not only is it ok, but I learned while riding my brand new KLR home from the dealer that if you don't, you're asking for trouble. Your best bet would be the screen type, rather than paper filter which may restrict fuel flow as the tank gets low. Fred at Arrowhead Motorsports *may* sell them, but I KNOW that Dennis Kirk does because a while ago I bought what may very well be a lifetime supply. You want the type for a 1/4" line, and not very large so that you don't end up putting a kink into the gas line. I think mine have a 2" body, and they work great. They're clear, so I can see all the crud that the screen is catching. Mark --------------------------------------- KLR650 Motorcycle Website: http://klr6500.tripod.com/
