stalling when braking hard

My bike stalls when I brake real hard, or rather it does about 75% of
the time. I've been practicing some pretty fast quick stops with it,
and it will stall right as the bike comes to a stop just about every
time. It doesn't do it on a normal stop, just under hard braking.
My idle speed is set at around 1200-1300 RPM. Can anyone suggest
things for me to check. Thanks, Ron

I would suggest you check the float level.
It's in the manual if you have one.

Float bowl level wrong?
Idle mixture (it's normal for the mixture to get a little richer under
hard braking as the fuel sloshes against the front of the bowl.
I had an SR500 that did this, it was jetted VERY rich. Once I got the
jetting straightened out it cleared it up.

Perhaps the float level in the carb is low ? Gas slings into the
front area of the carb stopping hard and it stalls the motor maybe ?

Thanks Mark. I was thinking that also, but wasn't sure. I've got
the manual.

That stall can also be a symptom of a tight exhaust valve.

And we all know a tappy valve is a happy valve...

Valves were adjusted by the dealer back in February, but I don't know
how tight he set them. Actually I was a little reluctant to leave it
with him as all I saw in the shop was a bunch of kids that didn't
even look like they were out of highschool. I'll check those myself
this weekend just to make sure. Someone suggested turning up the
idle which I think I'll do. Mine seems to be idleing a little low.
If that doesn't do it, I'll go in and check float level. Thanks
all. Ron
