As per listers suggestions, I went back to the stock needle and move the idle mixture screw to two turns out. In the garage black smoke billowed out of the tale pipe every time I blipped the throttle. So I turned the idle mixture screw down a quarter turn to the stock setting. Smoke went away. Test ride, the bike seemed normal again accelerating easily through all gears and no problems throughout the rpm range. Stopped on a dirt road :) and turned the idle mixture screw out half a turn. The bike seemed noticeably more powerful, and no problems through the rpm range. Will test ride more tommorrow. Probably will not put the klx needle back in. Mick A10 Stillwater, OK
