messing around with carb

As per listers suggestions, I went back to the stock needle and move
the idle mixture screw to two turns out. In the garage black smoke
billowed out of the tale pipe every time I blipped the throttle. So
I turned the idle mixture screw down a quarter turn to the stock
setting. Smoke went away.
Test ride, the bike seemed normal again accelerating easily through
all gears and no problems throughout the rpm range. Stopped on a
dirt road
and turned the idle mixture screw out half a turn. The
bike seemed noticeably more powerful, and no problems through the rpm
range. Will test ride more tommorrow. Probably will not put the
klx needle back in.
