I've been running 34 rear, 32 front and it feels good to me at 270lbs.

On pavement I generally run a few PSI less than the side wall rating. Roy Cope

21 psi front, 23 psi and up on the rear depending on the load. I run the 50/50 style tires, usually GP-1s. I've tried higher pressures but it reduces the mileage I get from the tire. No matter what I might like, my recommendation is to experiment and find what you like best. Pat G'ville, Nv [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

That's exacly what I'm riding and find it a little wabbly at around 70mph. Would a higher pressure correct that? JFLecours Silver Bullet A16 __________________________________________________________ L che-vitrine ou l che- cran ? magasinage.yahoo.ca

Conventional wisdom is that lower pressures give better off-pavement traction, and higher pressures give better on-road stability and longer tire life. Running low 30s on the road isn't at all extreme. -Lujo A13 Jean-Francois Lecours wrote:

I think so Jean. I've been running about 90% of sidewall max on the street, and that seems real good. Ride safe, Don Kime - VFR750F, GL1500SE, GL1100, KLR 650 OH - M/C Safety Instructor/RiderCoach dkime@... http://forums.delphiforums.com/MCTourer/

bicycle mount to a klr?

Yeah, I agree the rack itself shouldn't pose a problem. I was more or less talking about what people would potentially strap to it without taking into consideration how it might effect the dynamics of the bike. I know I have ridden around with my baseball bag or laptop bag around my neck and shoulders and sometimes had a problem with the load shifting while riding. Not a big deal, but can be potentially dangerous. BTW, If you do setup your bike to tow your kayak I would love to see a pic of that! :-) Rob D Chris wrote: I don't see any issue with it. Hell, it's narrower than the bars from what it seems, certainly narrower than a pair of Pelican boxes on racks. It's more dangerous to carry a bed roll with compression straps on the rack as it could be sucked into the drivetrain and lock your wheel. I still want to setup a trailer hitch to tow my 18' kayak on the bike. Now that would definitely light up the day for a few LEO's.
