I wish to upgrade the seat on my KLR. What experience has been had by you all? I'm considering the Corbin seats but I don't know which one is best. The primary criteria is road comfort.

Road comfort? - Mayer or Russell seats are comfy. My Mayer is Leather - I would go w/ vinyl though and use the money saved to acquire a sheepskin overlay to keep your checks dry on hot days. Mike Torst Las Vegas

if you want to be dry and comfy, wear lycra bicycle shorts with a polypro pad under whatever "long pants" you are wearing while you ride. do NOT wear cotton undies under them! the polypro wicks the sweat away from the twig and berries while the lycra keeps everything supported. they don't have seams in the wrong places to chafe you. baby wipes are nice to avoid skidmarks and monkey butt. i like my flat corbin, but recovering the factory seat with denser foam and perhaps a basketweave vinyl at a local upholstery shop is an option worth considering... probably cheaper too. remember that you don't have to ride a Norton Commando to "go commando"... but the bike shorts are the comfiest thing while riding. fixer KLR A1 #1187 Lost Wages, NV
