In order to cultivate buyers outside of the list, I would think that some marketing must be initiated locally. This is obvious, of course, but how about seeding the local classified (on-line and print) so that the additonal advertisments begin to run just before you leave. If you have a cellular phone and a non ISP spec e-mail ID listed in the ads reply to fields you could probably work out a potential sale as you ride to New Orleans. And then of course, there is Ebay and other auction sites. Just set your reserve and Buy Now pricing and post w/ a disclaimer that you reserve the right to terminate early as the item is being offered locally. The facts were correct.
The joke line was the request to acquire the motor and then the forks/triple
clamps.
Sorry, but I thought the satire was obvious. Ya know, spending many, many
$1,000's to build the KLR into a KTM/KLX/KLR/XR/K/F/GS/ etc. maxi bike.
