Hi,
I will ride my KLR650 from San Francisco to New Orleans where I have
to sell it. If any fellow riders can advise me on cool things on the
way (10 days time) and how to sell the bike in 2 days! I would
appreciate the input.
thanks, Andi

Sell the bike in 2 days after arrival....
Any presale efforts underway in local papers?
In order to cultivate buyers outside of the list, I would think that some
marketing must be initiated locally. This is obvious, of course, but how
about seeding the local classified (on-line and print) so that the additonal
advertisments begin to run just before you leave. If you have a cellular
phone and a non ISP spec e-mail ID listed in the ads reply to fields you
could probably work out a potential sale as you ride to New Orleans.
And then of course, there is Ebay and other auction sites. Just set your
reserve and Buy Now pricing and post w/ a disclaimer that you reserve the
right to terminate early as the item is being offered locally.

It was not a real request to do the group purchasing

The facts were correct.
The joke line was the request to acquire the motor and then the forks/triple
clamps.
Sorry, but I thought the satire was obvious. Ya know, spending many, many
$1,000's to build the KLR into a KTM/KLX/KLR/XR/K/F/GS/ etc. maxi bike.
My Bad?
