I recently purchased a 1997 KLR 650 and am looking for suggestions on what kinds of upgrades or protective devices to purchase. For instance, skid plates, radiator guards, brake cylinder guards, etc. As there are hundreds of these products I thought I'd ask the group what's important and what's not. I will NOT be using the bike for serious off-road riding, just touring on dirt, gravel and back country roads. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
