Good imagination. Basically you'll be pulling the carb out, stripping it to the casting, soaking it in a gallon can of some horrible chemical you buy at Pep Boys, then blowing it out with compressed air and reassembling. The last shortcut is to remove the pilot mixture screw (first turn it in 'til it bottoms, counting the turns, then remove it being VERY careful of the little parts that come out with it). Then blast carb cleaner into the hole, wait 5 minutes, blast carb cleaner in again, then blow it out with compressed air. Reinstall the pilot screw the same number of turns out, and see what happens.
