headlight power switch

A DPDT switch could be added to the HL wiring to place the
high and low filaments in series. This lowers the current draw
some and the light is still on.
I tried it on a car HL and found with a HB of 5 Amps
and a LB of 4 Amps in series they were 3 Amps. The light was
fairly bright too.
Details:
You need to draw a little three wire diagram of the HL
to follow the switch wiring.
One pole (side) of the switch opens the HL ground in power
saving mode. The other pole at the same time moves the HL LB
connection to ground.
Of course in normal position the switch causes the HL to be
powered as stock.
With the switch in power saving position the bikes HB switch
gives both in series. The LB position gives HL off.
