bump start - very easy

With snow forcasted and, well, it being january- i decided to head
out to get a battery tender. as luck would have it, the bike which
hasnt run for a month or so wouldnt start. I gave it a few tries
with the starter and decided might as well just bump start it (i also
own a seca II so this is nothing new). I go out into the alley, toss
it in 2nd and give a VERY hesistant first run with all the sand and
ice in the alley. To my surprise, the bike immediately started from
me pushing at most 5mph. Is the klr always this easy to bump start?
I thought I'd read somewhere that it was difficult for some reason.

I mentioned something on this awhile back when we were talking
about the KACR compression device. I'm sure it assists in starting
the bike whenever the RPMs are low--starter or bump. It's the only
issue that would keep me from removing my KACR. When I had my last
KLR, an '88, I put a kickstarter on it, and it was easy to start.
I'm not worried about having to bump start my bike around
civilization, but I'd hate to be in Beef Basin, Utah with a
starter/battery problem and not have the option.

Bump-starting a KLR is 2nd gear has never been very difficult. I've
always wondered why people get so anxious about their batteries and their
charging systems.

Do you know if it is possible to mount a dual star tank (designed
for the "A" model) on a "C" model.
The dual star team is unable to answer that question.
