Thanks to all of you who have responded to this message. Boy, some of you folks have been kicking butt on the KLR. I have printed many of your emails for future reference. I enjoy reading about your adventures which allows me to keep the carrot out in front of me. I have no doubt that I will go on this trip. I'm not sure yet which is the best month and am not entirely sure I shouldn't just take the Wing up to Whitehorse on the paved stuff, as was suggested, and rent a KLR for the Alaska portion. In any case, if there are any more of you out there who have made the trip, please email me or post on this thread, I look forward to hearing from you.
