You have enough money to buy/build one..... One of your relatives delivered Fat Man or Little Boy...... You don't buy anything designed by the Nazi party..... You like to "build" your own transportation from the frame up and have the mechanical aptitude to do so...... You like to have envious KLR riders make up jokes about you. (because believe me Harley Riders don't joke about KLR riders...) I like all kinds of motorcycles, it's the idiots in the cars with the cell phones that run us over that piss me off.

This site, in times past was an excellent place to find assistance in outfitting, repairing, maintaining the KLR 650. We all shared our successes and failures and were available to offer much assistance. But lately, seems to have turned into a joke forum. Could we go back to the orginal purpose of this site. It is not that I do not enjoy a good joke, but so much e-mail to handle this becomes a chore. Thanks for your attention Kenn Clark

Could log into yahoo and change your settings to "no email" and just scan them on the web while logged in, it works for me, no way I want that much mail to read and any time. Even if I do get involved in the idle filler chat until the next big break-through in development comes along. To muffle the madness, would make this a pretty dry boring place to be in my opinion. Hey, we've got to be able to make fun of somebody. Why not H-D riders? They're ripe for it. If fun is outlawed, only outlaws will have fun.

Hey Kenn; I know what you mean with volume of mail, but there is an "NKLR" in the subject line so people can easily filter out Non KLR emails. Look at your mail client, it should have a filter capability. Set it up so it discards mail with 'nklr' and/or 'NKLR' in the Subject: lines or puts it in another folder than your inbox. That's why we've come up with the convention.

Over thirty years of riding and racing one of the time honored traditions is bench racing and one of the time honored traditions of bench racing is disrespecting whatever brand bike the other guys are riding. Ain't really any different than sitting around telling 'mama' jokes. And I've heard and ridden most the jokes - Maico Breako, Ticky Tcky Tacos, Kawisuckies, Suzies Toys, Crappa Zundap, Pumpkin Bikes, Yamapoppers. But it seems that some folks just get down right thin skinned when the joke is a HD. The way some folks react you would think we were committing a blasphemy. Being my sainted grandfather who taught me to how to ride had raced Indians in his youth I wasn't taught to respect HD very much. In fact, the first Harley joke I learned was, You know why they call them hogs? HD owners sleep with the pigs, which before anybody gets to bent out of shape remember that for many years the HD factory race team traveled with a pet pig. While I am looking for a way to get some money for a Dyno run on my fully modified '95, I will still be very satisfied with the way my bike will easily launch the front wheel, and my 210 lb lard ass (yes I lost some weight) into the air, with no clutch work, and EVERY time I get onto someone elses KLR to ride it, it is like WHAT THE F***!! How do they ride this thing?? I'm not saying that my bike is a HP beast, just that it is better than all the other bikes that I have ridden. I would like to see just how LOW the dyno run numbers are on a stocker. MrMoose A8 (Barbie and Ken special)
