I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about. Do you mean those things that hold your motorcycle parallel to the tail gate? I know someone who had one. he used it twice and then bought a trailer. A light weight 2 stroke bike is OK, but the KLR would be a pain to load. Also the rack tends to rock back and forth in the hitch reciever. The higher the truck is off the ground (4x4) the harder it is to load. I have a short bed pickup, and I have loaded a KLR650 and an Aprila RS50 in the bed, both at the same time. drove 300 miles with no problem. but I dont think you can load it in the back of a pathfinder

Sometimes a trailer is just not feasible. I happen to really love my hitch hauler with my KLR on my 4x4. Photos at: www.attorneyadams.com/bdi -Scott

I I reviewed the tilt-a-rack for Dual Sport News and wouldn't hesitate to mount a KLR on it. I was using the heavy duty model rated to 600 lbs. Bike's loaded very easily with the tilt design. Kurt Simpson Salt Lake City http://www.tiltarack.com/

I use a Versahaul 55 RO. We loaded it up on a Chevy Astro no problem, the only thing I do differently then Scott is I wrap a strap around the bottom of the wheels theough the spokes and around the hauler so the bike does not roll side to side as easily. I was going to order online, but after Ebaying, Googling, and Froogling, I found my local motorcycle dealer was about the same price and bought it there no shipping BS etc. The big issue with using these things is weight capacity, AND the VEHICLES CAPACITY. Check out this chart http://www.versahaul.com/vehicle%20carrying%20capacity%20chart.htm It says the Nissan can only carry 236 lbs, so you would need to upgrade your suspension on the patfinder. I have the same issue with my Mazda B3000 pickup, I bought the lightest hitch I could find and I plan to add air bags ($180). Before I buy the bags I will of course load the bike up and see. PS loading the bike on the van I could do myself either idling the bike in first or pushing it at a brisk walking pace. The only problem with the design of the versahaul is that you can not put the kickstand down to steady the bike while you carry it, I plan to fabricate something simple to make loading this thing a one man operation.
