Cotter pin, 1/8" or 5/32" X 2" will work. Get a J-Clip / hairpin/ hitch pin / whatever they're called in your neck of the woods, 1/8" or 5/32" will work, I reckon.. CA Stu. PS From buykawasaki.com, PIN-COTTER,4.0X 35> Headed out to pick some up after work...can anyone tell me the > correct size to grab? Thanks. > > Mark

Hitch pins are fine if you safety-wire or at least zip-tie them closed. I've lost them in brush. Cotter pins are more of a PITA but more secure. -- Devon Brooklyn, NY A15-Z '01 KLR650 '81 SR500 cafe racer "The truth's not too popular these days....." If it's a stock speedo that means more like 90mph.>I use my A1 as 80% commuter bike. I am in the high rise this morning and reading some previous posts and wondering about Speed and RPM's and what's good/bad for the bike. It just occured to me that I have never checked the front sprocket. I assume it to be a 15t, as everything else was BONE STOCK on it. >I've seen some posts with people talking about 100 MPH >
When you hold the throttle open to the stop and the bike won't go any faster.>and others saying that they were in the mid 4,000's at 60 MPH. >What do some of you consider WFO? >
No. Change the oil when you're supposed to, and don't worry about it. One of the advantages of a low-tuned motor like the KLR is durability. -- Devon Brooklyn, NY A15-Z '01 KLR650 '81 SR500 cafe racer "The truth's not too popular these days....."
