There is no such thing as a crate motor from KHI. If they have to build an entire motor from pieces that is what will happen. You or the dealer cannot buy a crate motor from KHI ... officially they don't exist. In a past life as an MC mech., I had to do exactly that on a few occasions. Honda and Yamaha would replace an entire motor in VERY special circumstances, KHI and Suzuki would not. None of the Japanese big four have offered complete motors for sale to the general public in the past ... don't think it has changed. Regards, Ed

Honda have "crate" motors as an ordeable item here in europe. I have a friend who ordered a new engine for his VF750 when he got his hands on a turbo kit. He just went in to a dealer in Stockholm and they had a part # for it. He now has the engine sitting in his living room since he is to lazy to do anything with it! (He works for Microsoft... Im not sure what he paid for it, but money is not a problem for him) /Jim =================Original message text=============== There is no such thing as a crate motor from KHI. Make sure everything is clean. I know that my 03 will do a little backfiring when the air filter gets dirty. Kelley......... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free, easy-to-use web site design software http://sitebuilder.yahoo.com
