When I got home the other night from work, the rest of the family was off somewhere so I decided to take a moment and clean (actually adjust) the clutch lever safety switch. The bike would no longer start in gear, with the clutch dis-engaged, and it was beginning to become a real PITA to have to put the bike in neutral to get it cranked. I know. One day I will totally disable all of this "stuff." While I was whacking away at the switch, the UPS guy (uh, person) shows up with a package from Dual Star (sorry Zack) with a couple of things I'd ordered. One was the low-profile drain plug. The other was their machined rear brake lever bracket. I may be wierd, but I like the look and feel of a nicely done machined part, and this one looked really nice. So, on it went. The drain plug would have to wait until the next oil change. I already have a Moose magnetic plug installed but it hangs low and I was afraid of hanging it on something and mucking up it, and, potentially, the engine case. I was gonna whack the Moose in half, but I got lazy and just ordered the DS unit instead. At any rate, I've added pix of the Moose plug and DS bracket to my site's KLR stuff.
