don't ever want to have to paint it

Hey all,
Just wanted to know, what is the best way to prevent the plastic on
my KLR from fading? My A17 has black side panels and i could see
them fading very quick. I tried some vinyl and plastic dash
protector wipes, they worked great for the seat but they left streaks
on the plastic that attracted dirt like a magnet.
I KNOW it's a dirt bike and supposed to be dirty, just wanted to
protect my investment from the sun...
Thanks,
Andrew,

Dude, your biggest investment is your own ass!
Don't put slick shit on your seat, you'll fall through your ass and
hang yourself!
I know what you meen though, I am using black magic on mine as a
protectant and it collects a lot of dust.
I does stay on a long time and after a couple washings, it doesn't.
Just get as much off as you can, at the time of application.
Don't polish on the plastic if it's dusty though, it scratches very
easily.
I hope this stuff works because I've seen a ratty looking faded KLR
at the pawn shop and they can't even get 1500 for it and it's an 01!
Wish us luck,
Rod

"Motorcraft" maybe? Nah..I dunno if I would want my ride to share the
same name as poor quality automotive parts.
